    3. Do confirm the activation e-mail (check the e-mail address you provided) that you received to finalize to sign up canvas.

  1. STEP2: AFTER SIGN-UP CANVAS:Modify/Correct your account if necessary (see picture below: Full Name, Display Name, Sortable Name). Do not use your name/surname, nicknames or email addresses. Change accordingly to the picture below at left.

    1. Full Name as YourID

    2. Display Name as YourID

    3. Sortable Name as YourID (This name appears in sorted list. Be sure that it is in correct form.)

    4. Alternatively; Name[SPACE]YourIDSurname pattern will also be accepted: Ad 123456789Soyad Change accordingly to the picture below at right.

If your Full/Display/Sortable Name pattern(s) is not appropriate, your Canvas account for PHY101_2024-2025_FALL might be deactivated.

  1. STEP3: LABORATORY EXEMPTION. If your previous laboratory grade is greater than 59, you should make a petition (see picture below) to the instructor. Download doc (en or tr) file and send it to me via e-mail.

IMPORTANT: There should be a “signature”(any form).

IMPORTANT: There must be an attachedScreenshot from UBYS”. Your name and grade must clearly be seen.

  2. STEP4: OBJECTIONS. If you want your answers to be re-evaluated, you should make a petition (see picture below) to the instructor. Download doc (en or tr) file and send it to me via e-mail.

IMPORTANT: There should be a “signature”.

IMPORTANT:

    1. The absenteeism limit is 20% of total number of “Laboratory Sessions” of Phys 101. To give an example, if there are 5 total labs, s/he can be 1 lab absent. If you have a valid excuse such as medical report, there will be make-up lab(s) at last week of the semester.

    2. Visit the web page Canvas (PHY101_2024-2025_FALL) for “previous years’” course information (Syllabus, Schedule, Grading Policy, Past Exam Questions/Solutions, …)

    3. Visit the web page Cem Ozdogan's Homepage for instructor information and also for course(s) information(s)

    4. (PLEASE USE GMAIL ADDRESS) IN YOUR E-MAILS: DO NOT FORGET TO WRITE “SUBJECT LINE”, “ID”, “DEPARTMENT”, “NAME-SURNAME” TOGETHER WIYH YOUR INQUIRY.

    5. HOW TO PASS THE COURSE?
